Eye Stroke (Branch Retinal Artery Occlusion)

What is it?

An eye stroke, also known as branch retinal artery occlusion (BRAO), occurs when there is a blockage or narrowing in one of the arteries supplying blood to the retina, the part of the eye that captures light and sends signals to the brain. This can lead to sudden vision loss in one eye.
