  • Immunosuppression: Individuals with weakened immune systems are at higher risk.

What types of food are helpful?

  • Antioxidant-rich foods: Fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins C and E, and other antioxidants can help combat oxidative stress caused by cancer.

  • Healthy fats: Omega-3 fatty acids (from fish, flaxseeds) and monounsaturated fats (from olive oil) support cellular health.

  • Chemotherapy: Used to kill cancer cells and control their growth.

  • Targeted therapy: Drugs that target specific mutations in melanoma cells.

  • Radiation therapy: For treating specific areas of metastasis.

  • Surgery: For removing tumors or metastases in some cases.

What are the natural and alternative treatments?

  • Mushroom supplements: Certain mushrooms (like reishi and shiitake) may help boost immune function.

  • Curcumin: Found in turmeric, known for its anti-cancer properties.

  • Vitamin D: Supports immune health and may play a role in cancer prevention.
